Our Story
Founded in April 2001 by a group of animal enthusiasts, Amigo Fiel emerged from a shared distress over the plight of sick, hungry, and weary stray animals roaming the streets of Bombarral.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide a nurturing and secure haven for stray and abandoned dogs, and to ensure they find their forever homes through adoption. We are driven by the belief in the right to happiness and well-being for all our furry friends.
A Second Chance
At Amigo Fiel, we look after dogs that are abandoned, surrendered, or rescued from neglectful and abusive environments. We dedicate ourselves to their care, recovery, and preparation for a new chapter with a loving family.
Our commitment extends beyond rescue and rehoming. We work hard to socialize our rescue dogs, teach them basic commands, and train them to walk on a leash. This helps to enhance their adoptability and ease their transition to a new environment.

At Amigo Fiel, we are fervent advocates for animal welfare. We raise awareness of animals in distress and collaborate with educational institutions to teach kids about animal care. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of donations and the invaluable support of volunteers to sustain our mission.
